PTC WEN efforts amidst COVID 19
Since the start of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Women Engineers Network continue to be very active in providing assistance to our frontliners and deprived communities, acting as frontliners themselves or giving the much needed support to hospitals and institutions.

A 3-part episode on Women Engineers in the Philippines, broadcast via the radio station DZUP, Department of Women and Development Studies of the University of the Philippines will have officers from PTC WEN as special guests. The broadcast is hosted by Roselle Leah K. Rivera and will be aired on August 2, 9 and 16 from 12nn to 1 pm.
The first episode held last August 2 was participated by PTC WEN’s adviser Lydia Tansinsin of PIChE, Maribel Mena of SMEP, Archelle Baculi of PSME and Evelyn Laurito of PIChE. The group discussed the History of WEN and their experiences as women engineers in a male-dominated field.

What is PTC WEN?
PTC WEN or the Women Engineers Network is an organization of women engineers representing the national engineering organizations under the umbrella of the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) and the Women Engineers of the Asean Federation of Engineering Organization (WEAFEO). Aware of the important role of engineering in the advancement of the social, economic, and industrial development of Philippines, its objectives are:
- To promote understanding, goodwill and cooperation among women engineers
- To promote and exchange ideas, concerns and experiences.
- To support the purposes and objectives of the PTC and WEAFEO.

Lakambining Inhenyera 2019 Winners
The Women Engineers Network of the Philippine Technological Council is pleased to announce the winners of the 3rd Search for Lakambining Inhenyera, a fund-raising activity and personality development quest for professional women engineers. Lakambining Inheyera 2019 is Engr. Angelica Ongkingco (PICE), 1st Runner-up is Engr. Genalyn Verbo (GEP) and 2nd Runner-up is Engr. Peachie Melendez (PSABE). Coronation was held last August 23, 2019, during the 4th PWES 2019 at the Royce Hotel, Clark, Pampanga.

The 2020 APNN & IConWiST is scheduled to be held in New Taipei City Hall during Oct. 24-26 in 2 ways: in-person and on-line participation.
Both early bird registration and abstract submission have been postponed to Sep. 15 2020. Only those who have registered can join the conference online with special link.
Registration fee for online participants is waived. All registration fees for in-person participation are reduced to half of the original price announced. International attendees can pay the registration fees (US $30 or NT 1500) on-site during the Conference.
